Another day, another not writing in the book evening. Instead I got side tracked reminiscing about old childhood memories.

The grove of trees in the forest by our apartments, open to the sky, where I thought fairies lived. Now a car dealership parking lot.

The movie theater where I got to see "free" Saturday morning movies (when in actuality our school sold bulk tickets to our parents to movies that weren't even rated yet). Now a nightclub.

The mini-mall where I saw my first arcade. Still there, but the nterior mall is now all closed off. I wonder if that interior is still there and looks the same, if dustier?

The five points crossroads we moved to that had a convenience store, and a nothing else on the other four points. Now an overcrowded suburban strip mall on all corners.

Melancholy evening for long lost memories.
