I killed a Guardian today! And I only lost all but 1/4 of my hearts!

I'm kinda running into an issue where I can finish Breath of the Wild...but I don't wanna. Mainly because the only other game I have for the Nintendo Switch is Othello. No 100 hours of content on Othello.
