Thoughts before bed:

"You don't strike me as a history buff. Especially a Texas history buff. You're so...liberal."

"It's always a good thing to know your history. I don't feel I belong anywhere until I know the history of that place. And it's good to explore and experience the past and know where today came from. But that doesn't mean I wish we could go back to it. The future lies ahead of us, and it is up to us to make thier history."

More thoughts before bed

My want for a really good breakfast goes against my want for a really long sleep in.

I should not need to reset my phone to get a feature back because my screen is so sensitive it clicks on everything in my pocket.

This has to do with my phone. Eventually.

Not many people know that I actually have some hearing issues. I've had tinnitus since I was very little (young enough that it doesn't bother me since I grew up with it), but I also have issues with volume. I can't hear things that aren't loud easily.

Over the years I've suffered some mostly minor hearing loss, likely from 20 years of customer service with the volume on my headset too high. One of the reasons I'm happier in text than phones is I'm worried I'll do more harm as the volumes go up, and my hearing goes down.

I do listen to music, all the darned time, though. I try hard to keep the volume at a "safe" level, but sometimes I get surprised when I put in my headphones, press play, and get a blast at 100% volume. The new phone as a feature on it that if you're listening on headphones, it'll lock the volume and warn you if you turn it up too high. THAT'S AWESOME. I can hear my music, without too much fear of damaging my hearing even more.

Today, though, my super sensitive screen decided, somehow, while it was in my pocket to turn the display on, turn the sound up, make the pop-up come on, and click "OK" to "Are you sure you want to turn up the volume." This actually isn't all that hard for it to do as it's done all sorts of crazy things because the screen is too sensitive.

Did you know once you hit OK on that screen, though, THERE'S NO WAY TO TURN THE FEATURE BACK ON WITHOUT RESETTING THE DAMNED PHONE? Cause there isn't. There's ways on OTHER phones, but not this one. I had to reset my entire phone - EVERYTHING...cause "OK" accidentally got tapped.

WTF, HTC.

So, remember when I said streaming would start this week? Well, I wasn't expecting to come back to work and the place is on fire, with me not getting home toll 9PM some nights. So, streaming is "When I can get it to happen." Hopefully soon.
