Sep. 29th, 2020 11:07 amOne of the things I've never gotten used to is the idea is taking time off for being sick. I've lived for so long without health insurance or sick time that taking time off work for something that wasn't truly incapacitating felt wierd.
I'm on day two of time off for a bad cough (and in day four of that cough), and literally resting is making it better, rather than going into work (which is six feet away, honestly). And I feel guilty that I could DO work, but resting is genuinely fixing it.
I did call my doctor this morning, though. Got her voice mail and am looking at getting that Covid test today or an appointment to look at this cough. Another thing I've never gotten used to: seeing your doctor when your actually sick instead of checkups.
