It's been about a year and a half since my last trip to Canada due to The Plague.

I usually have a set list of things I want to see when I'm up there, called the "Last Ride" tour. Just before I moved back to Texas, I made a list of things I wanted to see and eat and made a route so I could visit all of them. I didn't actually go before I moved away, but since coming back, I've used that list pretty regularly.

It's mostly neat (and free) stuff to check out, or places that have specific memories for me. And spans almost the whole Frasier Valley.

I have three days in Canada, starting the night of the 28th and coming home the night of the 31st. I'll blow through that list pretty quickly. So for the Vancouverites (Current and former), anyone in the Frasier Valley and informed folks who have been there...where else should I go?

Nothing that takes a whole lot of time (like a museum) unless it's too cool to miss. I tend to look more for quick look-see items, and casual but regional eats. Unless, of course, it's a can't-miss kind of thing. :)

What ELSE is out there?

I have a three day weekend once a quarter, so I'm considering that Amtrak trip I keep threatening to do in December. It looks like I can do Seattle to the Bay Area and back over those three days. A day on the train down there, a day there, and a day on the train back.

I could also possible go west into the rockies as well. In December. That'd be beautiful.
