Jan. 13th, 2023 04:20 amThoughts Before Bed
Today was the first day since the layoff that has felt like I had 100% of my brain back on track. Cleaned house, planned next week's meals, bought groceries, and had a nice (grocery store deli) dinner.
Tomorrow I have to get some meds and the day is fairly open. Will probably make the first of next week's meals and finish up a story outline I've been working on for a friend's project.

Jan. 13th, 2023 03:31 pmJust came across a few "kids spend too much time on their phones" meme.
Something I'm trying to break out of as I get older (I'm pushing fifty) is to not get into the habit of comparing my childhood to children today.
We spend the first third of our lives enjoying our childhood, the second this making life easier for the next generation, and I refuse to shame kids in the final third of my life for taking advantage of what we did to make thier lives easier.
