So. We're going to Portland, OR, on Monday. Any cool out-of-the-way interesting wierdness I should try to get to?

I’m not a good resource for Portland events and activities; I hardly ever do anything outside of home, shopping, and work. You might find something in the Portland Events Calendar.

Before I moved to Portland, my favorite spot to visit was Powell’s Books. If you’re without funds, you can just camp there all day and read; they don’t care.

Oh, and if you cross over the Columbia river to Vancouver, you can watch and/or talk to the cosplayers at Kumoricon. Hang out at Esther Short park for free; there are always cosplayers in the park. (I’m assuming that attending the convention itself is out-of-budget. Monday is a wind-down day anyway.)
