Nostalgia Day 1!
Last night, before bed, I snooped. I was flipping through an old notebook Dean had, and it seemed to be a bunch of lists ofmusic tapes he was making during high school. For some reason one of my papers from Swan was in there, with the names and addresses of everyone I worked with there.
Swan was the number one maker of 486s back in the day. We were all tech support, the only team for the whole company. We were twenty-nine people. XBox, on it's busiest day, has over 150.
I wonder how many of these Emails still work.
So I continued snooping...
And I found a black three ring binder. I open it up and see:
Tue 28 May 1996 16:27:41
Subject: CS#1
Closet Space #1 - "Roomate Wanted" (c) 1993, 1996 Jennifer Dolari.
He had not one, but FOUR drafts of two different Closetspace episodes. REALLY old drafts...
Nostagia Day 2!
So I woke up ready for work, but my stomach felt like I'd eaten two led bricks for dinner. I took a shower...but ended up vomiting twice, and dry heaving a third time. I felt okay, but my stomach just felt like...well...8 pounds of lead. I called in sick.
I sat down and typed ALL THOSE DAMNED DRAFTS into the Closetspace Website. EIGHT HOURS LATER, it's midnight, my stomach only feels like 2 pounds of lead, and now the site has three drafts of Closetspace #1, and two of Closetspace #2, complete with notes.
If you're interested in script writing and how I make up different drafts of stuff, check out http://closet.keenspace.com/earlydrafts.html
They have some really nice scenes that were forgotten and not included int he final version of Closetspace, especially in Jason/Jack's argument and some nice scenes with Victoria explaning why sh'es so manic. I plan to try and reintroduce a few concepts I'd forgeotten about in later episodes.
