Things that keep me awake at night, volume 5945: in 100 years time, will people still read my old comics, and say ”That was a good story”? Will they even be remembered?

I did them out of sheer force of will, to tell the story...did they matter?

I should try to go back to bed and let the future attend to itself.

If it's any consolation, that keeps me up too...and causes me severe writer's (artist's?) block (like I'm going through now).

Maybe I'm too much of an optimist. I tend to see this sort of thing as an objective to be systematically worked on (need multiple reasons to be remembered for). Admittedly, I've been too busy on something else for the past four months to even think in these terms (a new web site for The Moon Society and the objective is to get it up before ISDC -- our old one with a front page that looks like it's straight out of the 1990s is at moonsociety.org). Actually, then I'll probably be too busy with politics...

I'm not going to be remembered for writing anything if I never get anything out the door in the first place am I...

Have you been replying to anything before this? I just noticed LJ was trashing this reply as spam!

Not for awhile. They changed the interface on me. I've also been very much in singletasking mode this year. Might be why I've lasted this long into the project without cratering.

I wonder if I should update my 11 year old photo. It's hard to believe that the crunch to revise the Saturn documentation was that long ago (that's what I'm working on in the photo seated in my grandparents' dining room). I should get back to the narrative intro, but it needs a rewrite: too much recent science fiction is already obsolete without me adding more obsolete science fiction to the mix. It needs a serious information technology upgrade.

It would also help if I could figure out how to complete the novel without having the game for a technical reference... [It's very possible the game will never be developed]
