dolariNot much to today - I finally fed my french fry craving. Note to self - Mom makes good fries.
Started work onthe NEW Episode #4 of Closetspace (the existing #4 is being pushed up to #5). I've also started work on Andrea's nightmare. I already have the first three panels in my head - and I'm considering opening the episode up with nine panels instead of the usual six. Depends on how the story flows. I also think I know how I will signify this is a dream witha a gradient behind the panels like I did for Panel 3 of Closetspace #4. The gradient gets darker ans the nightmare evolves.
ACtually, the original idea was for a slightly transparent head of a shadow to sneak up on the viewer as the episodes wore on, but it would have been too hard to realize, and I would be blatantly rippin goff Matt Wagner's Grendel who did the same thing for one of his issues.
I'm also considering either doing some panels in Color, or doing panels in Black and White with color extras (Like I did with Closetspace #3 - did anyone notice you could click that pic of Carrie in Episode #3?)...I've also decided that The Final Nightmare will have not only have the dream I had when I was very very very young (which had a lot of the Shadow symbology that I use now) but it will also have aspects of The Dream (Which you can read about here - http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=jenndolari&itemid=86224#cutid1). I think there's some great symbols we'll see in color at some point, if only because I want to see them in color.
In other news - I believe Imaybe...just MAYBE...dislocated my fourth finger on my right hand. I did something to it a few weeks ago that made it ache...then I messed it up again a week ago to the point that half of my right hand was swollen and hurting. I don't have the money for a doctor, so I've just kinda lived with it (I'm sorta like my mother - I won't go to a doctor unless I'm near death. My mother simply does not trust doctors...I trust doctors, but I've only ever been to one three times in my life for non-hormonal things, and I really don't know WHEN to go to a doctor). The last few days my hand has been just fine, fingers moving and everything, no real pain...but there's a curious bump right where my finger meets the to top of the hand. If I touch it I get a quick jolt of pain...the first segment of my finger aches a bit, but nothing big.
When I have money, I shall look into this.
I think it's very sad that Americans don't have socialized medicine. It's bad when you deal with shit cause you just don't have the cash/insurance to take care of it.
