Check out the stigmata!
Jan. 20th, 2003 06:14 amThe whole week has really revolved around getting a job...mainly at Dell. After some work and gettingin touch with a friend at Dell, we've got her throwing my resume around at Dell, hoping to get back into the building. A temp agency also calle about hiring me at Dell as a salesperson (yuck) but then had to call Dell back about hiring me. Seems Dell themselves has to hire me, not the temp agency. So I'm hoping for good stuff onthat front.
Sunday I had dinner with my Dell contact, had a good time, since I hadn't seen Lucy since my last days at Dell. Turns out she knows another manager...who is a HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND OF MINE! Knows about me and everything. Hopefully she'll get me back into Round Rock.
I hate having to ask favors of my friends...but this one seems to be working out alright.
That's really my entire week. Really. A lot of nothing.
Well, there was some serendipity. I had exatly $23.45 in the back, and wanted to keep $20 for the internet. and I was CRAVING a coca-cola. So I figured I'd be able to pay for either a set of teabags, or a cola. Whichever was cheaper.
So I hit the grocery, and I find the tea is 2/$3. GREAT! I grabbed two. Then noticed the Cocal Cola 3 liters were 2/$3 as well. So I got one of each, kept to my $3 bill and got tea AND Coke. WOOOO!
But now I have to hope I can keep my $20 till the 3rd....
AWFW is updated. If Keenspace is being wonky you can see it here:

In Panel 2, you'll see my original designs for Charity, Hope and Faith. The friends I based them on wanted them to look more like they do now, and not a decade ago.
I really hate to ask this of my readers, since I think just looking at my frantic scribbling is asking enough, but...well....
My roomate lost his job sometime in mid November, and I lost my job at the beginning of December. We've both been pounding the pavement looking for work, but can't find anything that would pay us enough to keep our place.
If you can...PLEASE donate what you can to help us through what are already some tough times, and look to be tougher.
In return, I'll do my best to send you a sketch of any A Wish for Wings -
Closetspace - Polychronicon character you'd like.
Again, i'm sorry to ask like this...but...well...it's bad out there.
Thanks,
Jenn.
Thanks to Nathan Rosen and Jenni Bravo.
