Jun. 20th, 2003 01:34 amSo, let me get this straight:
You want me to set up an overnight onsite service on your laptop to install the hard drive we sent you yesterday simply because you don't have a screwdriver to remove the one (and only) screw you need to install it?
And then you want me to reimburse you for a screwdriver when you tell me that there isn't a single screwdriver in your building?
Maybe I shoulda done it - he really was with the Department of Homeland Security....

Date: 2003-06-20 04:35 am (UTC)Yesterday afternoon I had a user email me saying there had been a paper jam in one of their shop printers and that she needed everything from 2:30 PM to the present time reprinted. I emailed her back saying that I didn't think we logged print jobs, but that particular server wasn't under our control so we couldn't tell for certain. The only person who would know was out until Tuesday.
Her response? "I understand what you're saying but what am I supposed to do now? We have jobs waiting on this paperwork"?
Didn't I just tell her I had no clue about that server?
*sigh* Users sometimes...
