There was supposedly a Viet sammich shop that opened just down the road from my workplace, a really good husband and wife hole-in-the-wall kinda place - sadly, it's so dinky I can't find the thing.
I'm not a big fan of Pho. Actually, I'm not really all that big a fan of noodles. But Vietnamese food is so wonderfully "subtle" versus the Big Bold Taste of Chinese.
There was this place in San Antonio called "King of Lemon Chicken." Rinky Dink Hole In the Wall tiny Restaurant. And yet, the best Chinese food in the Universe was served from there.
It died TWO WEEKS before I came home from PA. If I had been two weeks earlier, I could have singlehandedly kept that place alive.
