Basic Rules of the Game:
Two teams of two artists will team up with one member of the audience.
The team to go first is determined by coin toss.
In round one, each team will pick someone to draw. That person will get a
word and the team must guess it in one minute. Guesses can just be
shouted out. If the drawer doesn't think they can do it after 30 seconds,
they can tag team to another member. The new drawer will get the word,
and old drawer cannot make guesses. After 1 minute, if it's guessed, the
team gets one point.
Round two is roughly the same. Each team will pick someone to draw (it
can't be the person in round one), and this time will get a phrase.
Instead of one minute to guess, you now have two minutes, and can tag team
out after 1 minute. After 2 minutes, if it's guessed, the team gets 2
points.
Round three is a lightning round. Each team will pick someone to draw
(the one who wasn't picked for round 1 or 2), and will need to draw as
many words as possible in 3 minutes. If you get stumped, you can pass
(I'll announce what the word was after you pass). After 1:30 minute you
CAN tag team out (the old sketcher cannot guess that one word, but can
start guessing with the next). Each correctly guessed word is 1 point.
In the drawings, you cannot use ANY letters or numbers. Symbols can be
used, as well as a picture of an ear for "Sounds Like." Once someone
guesses a word in a phrase, you CAN write that word down on the paper.
IF we decide to do a straight game of WLoD, the winner will recieve all
the drawings for the game, autographed. Losers, thanks to EBay, will get
a copy of the home game (hopefully all autographed, too :) ).
If we decide to do a parody, then I figure the audience members will get
the drawings from their team in that round, and there won't be any
losers...although the one with the most points, will get a copy of the
home game. :)
