Finally, today was grocery day. I woke up nice and late (grr) and finally took some of the donations to buy groceries. Again, thank you, readers, for the ability to eat. :D

I finally did my first real "Archival" Divx file...and...well...it's not very archival. :) I recorded the first episode of the second season of Big O directly to my Hard Drive (which looked gorgeous), then reduced it down to something more managable (180MB)...but...well...the quality at 180MB isn't exactly something I can replace my old delapidated VHSes with.

I'll just wait till I can afford a DVD Burner and burn the uncompressed Divx files to the DVD Rom. Roughly 5 hours to play with on those uncompressed, while I'll be lucky to get 2 or 3 on CD-ROM compressed.

AWFW #71 is done. If I can finish CS tomorrow, I can puch two more comics through and not worry about how I'm going to update comics this weekend AND Christmas weekend. At least next week's AWFW is just a place Holder for ACT III.

Speaking of ACT III, it's come to my attention that once I finish Act III, I go from Flashback Mode to PResent Day Mode. Should I just end AWFW like I planned to and start a SECOND comic (Named "Tilted Halo" or "Harp Within My Hand"), or should I just simply keep moving forward under the AWFW name and go to Act IV?

Sounds like a trilogy setup to me.

Book 1
Acts 1-2

Book 2
Acts 3-?

Etc.

So the whole thing might get dubbed the Angel Andrea trilogy...

I dunno... Either way works, but I suppose it depends on what kind of mood you want to set. Does "A Wish For Wings" set the right tone for the next act?

I think it should be the same, maybe cut into another "book" or something, unless the theme wildly deviates away from Andrea.

Well, book 1 is more of Act 1, 2 and 3. All three of these are flashbacks. Act 4 and beyond are "present day" or "in the now." Not to mention that by this time, her "wish" no longer applies.

It looks like making a Second Comic may be the way to go.

Actually, I did. The problem comes down to disks. If I was to do a VHS-to MPEG2 dub at the highest bitrate possible, I'd get about an hour a disk. And I've got 300+ tapes. :)

Burning to DivX, THEN burning to DVD+R would give me the same quality but about 4 to 5 hours per disk.

However, thanks for the offer...if you want anything from my archives, though, let me know and I'll get it to you. :)

The whole Book thing is starting to make sense. Maybe I should divide it into two comics under the same name? Book 1 and Book 2?

Yeah, that makes sense. :) Since you already have a front page to your comics, it would be easy to direct people to Book 1 or Book 2.
