Apr. 20th, 2004 06:09 amYou should see my desk. I'm actually OUTSIDE on my balcony, enjoying the night air and the ool crisp morning. My laptop is sitting on a plastic footstool, with a plastic bucket on it, with a wooden "board" jammed under the hasp of the balcony. MAkes a SUPER STURDY desk. Been out here all night.
So, I've been pretty quiet. Why? I wet to see my parents. I broke one of my rules because mom promised to feed me well. So down to San Antonio I went, and I was fed well...but I kinda broke my own rule.
Wasn't going to go down to SA until my parents came up HERE once...but with food, an engine checkup and a laptop shakedown, I couldn't resist.
I ran down to San Antonio, and had my laptop playing a DIVX movie all the way down (lapop lid closed, mind you). It made it all the way down (1h 30m) on one battery, dying JUST at the point I pulled in. Cool!
Once I got there, it turned out there was an ulterior motive for my visit from their end: hey bought a new DVD player, and couldn't find out how to hook it up. It took a trip to Radio Shake, but now they have a huge 5 foot HDTV with a nice HDTV DVD player. And a new VCR as well.
The stuttering on the truck is the carbuerator - carboratatettor cleaner will "Fix" it according to dad. This means it'll patch it. Time to save up for a little engine work after the con.
On the way back, I listened to Whose Line is it Anyways, a little bit of Star Trek II (Even with the volume full blast, the DVD was too soft to hear above the road noise (Why are DVD volumes so soft?)) and a mess of DVDs.
This laptop likes Videogame music.
I didn't sleep well at home, mom has the HUGE pillows that hurt my neck...looking forward tyo a good sleep tonght....
