While I'm feeling much better than I was a few days ago. I still think this whole weekend was wasted. I did NOTHING. Day one was comics that got thrown away and 2 and 3 were mapping projects that turned out to be very very very wrong and were thrown away.

I have a feeling my comics will be deleted from Wikipedia. And while I would rather have them THERE, the reason for the deletion now seems to be more of "They're not popular enough" which is fine. I won't argue that. The Vanity thing pissed me way way way off.

The funny thing about that is, there's a story to be made out of this, and we'll prolly see it in AWFW down the way. Only this time, it'll have the RIGHT ending.

hello and question

Jenn,

Just wanted to say hi and let you know my thoughts are/were with you. I would have written something to "cheer you up" as I know how much you love folksy inspiration but just couldn't pick out the right Successory. Next time you feel the world is not the hip-hop-happiest place to be you might want to check out this link: http://www.cs.wustl.edu/~schmidt/demotivation.html

My question:
You seem to know a bit about maps and about computers as well. Have you had any experience using ArcView, Maptitude, or any other Geographic Information Software?
I am a big map fiend and data whore, so this software seems interesting. Just wanted to know what you know about it.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better,
Jessica

From a faithful reader...

If you feel better, then the weekend of "nothing" was not a waste. Sometimes we have to "reboot" ourselves to get back into stride.

My thoughts are with you. *hugs*

:D I actually got in trouble for posting the Burnout one at my last Dell job.

I've never used any real Mapping software other than Mapquest's LAT/LONG function (which you can only get int he UK version, it seems) and Terraserver's really mediocre LAT/LONG engine (You want 30 12 72 x 98 12 43? Here's a pic with 100 square miles, it's somewhere in there!)
