Okay, the situation that was about to explode...didn't.

That's kinda half the problem right there...

Lemme tells ya a little weirdness.

The last couple of weeks, my ex has been trying to get me together with her new girlfriend. I'm very hesitant, and yes, I did walk out on the meeting once already before even meeting said new-gf. But since then, they've kinda been including me on a lot of plans, and presenting them to me bit by bit for approval. They're starting a new web business. I have no faith in it, but they've sorta volunteered me to work in it. They're constantly inviting me to dinner, and then it fizzles. The Ex is very leery of us getting together, and frankly, I would be too. I'm not volunteering to do it at all. It all seems to be prodding on the New GF's part. Today fizzled out on the Ex's part.

I kinda wanna get together...sort of size up the competition. Another part of me says this can be nothing but disaster. All my friends laugh at the mere thought of me meeting the New Girl. Either way, it should make for an interesting evening.

You know you've got no obligation to go see her. She seems to have told you quite clearly that it's over, and going to see her with her new partner might just be an uncomfortable experience without any good side. If you're worried it might be, why bother?

Do you have any idea WHY she'd be doing such a thing? It doesn't sound like your ex really wants this at all. I'd be wary of any ulterior motives.

I honestly don't know.

I still want to please Deener. And Deener keeps bringing this meeting up. I don't know if it's because she wants to please the New Girl, or if she genuinely wants us to meet and is backing out at the last minute.

Plus there is the added thrill of possibly saying "You left me for her?" ::snort::

I know, it's a meeting that can be rife with disaster. But also rife with great entertainment possibilities.

SO it either goes a good way - or a bad way. But the GOOD way would be SO much more fun....

As far as I can tell, I know the ulterior motives. The New Girl is starting a business. Personally, I have very little faith in this business (dot coms are the plague right now), but she wants me to do graphics for her. She also has the same...um...er....(putting it gently) non-dissasociative identity disorder and wants to start a support group for it.

For some reason she needs my validation for these projects.

Dunno...like I told Alison, it's a meeting that can be filled with pain, or one filled with entertainment.

Then agian, maybe I'm a masochist. :)
