Which do you prefer:

1) I want to be an angel/and with the angels stand/a crown upon my forehead/a harp within my hand.

2) The virtuous spirit has no need for thanks or approva/only the certain conviction that what has been done/is right.

I'm partial to #1, but I've already used it in episode #1 of AWFW. I also like #2, and had parts of it used by Michael in an earlier episode, but..well...it's a quote from Superman II.

When you call me for support, circular logic does not a problem solve. Just telling me "I can't get to Ad Support" as the answer to EVERY question I give you will not get me any closer to solving your problem.

"What's the issue?"
"I can't get into Ad support."
"Well what were you trying to do?"
"I can't get into Ad support."
"What were you trying to do IN Ad Support?"
"Get there."

A new plot twist popped up for AWFW. I'm hoping I can make it happen correctly, down the line. Involves going to sleep, and never remembering waking up.

Why oh why did they invent a sugar free chocolate, that my gastrointestinal tract has decided is simply A Bad Thing? Bastard!

Sounds like a typical call for me...

I have to hold back from screaming "WHAT YOU DO WITH CLICKY THING ON GLOWY BOX" just to see if I can appeal to their baser intellects.

Stick with #1, I think. It's not repeating yourself; it's a thematic element. :)

It could have been SOOOO much better. The original director of Superman 2 did the original Superman, so it would have been very serious and gritty. Instead they fired him, and hired another director who was more insterested in making a campy silly Superman 2.

There was no "East Houston" sequence...instead we had the Main Villains destroying all the nations monuments (Instead of just blasting Mount Rushmore into their faces, Ursa was supposed to be standing at the bottom of the monument blowing up the entire mountain with heat vision).

There was also a great scene of Jor-El giving Superman's powers back instead of "Green Crystal Makes Magic!"

Superman 2 was a mess. Marlon Brando sued, making them scrap all his shots for Superman 2, The producers fired the director because Richard Donner wasn't making the movie campy enough, which caused Gene Hackman refuse to return to do reshoots (all his shots in S2 are Richard Donner footage).

It couldhave been SO much better.

Hooray for Gene Hackman.

I didn't know about the mess behind the scenes. So it could have and should have been a lot better. I lament the likely better version I've been missing all of these years that was prevented.

Still, it blows 3 out of the water. I'd rather not describe my view of 4 -- it's unsuitable for this venue and I don't need te elevate my blood pressure that much right before calling it a day.

By what method or procedure were you attempting to execute to successfully get into Ad support?

I suppose you could get more explicit, but it doesn't sound like this person was up to doing anything at the time. Could it be that normally competent people have generally pounded their brains into mush before resorting to seeking technical support?

What's sad is they filmed 75% of Superman 2 with Richard Donner (look at Lois's hair at the Daily Planet when Zod and company smash through, and Richard Donner himself has a cameo in the diner scene). All he had left to film was the big New York fight and various small scenes. He stopped filming S2 to focus on S1.

When the movie was a hit, the producers fired him, hired Richard Lester to direct, and on the 75% Donner filmed, 75% of THAT was refilmed, and 50 percent of THAT was rewritten.

Here's the original script that Donner had filmed 75% of:

Superman 3 is EXACTLY the kind of movie the Salkinds wanted for Superman 1. If you REALLY wanna get mad, here's the script the Salkind's version of Superman 1:

...or could it be that if they hadn't pounded their brain into mush trying to do what they're trying to do _before_ hitting a technical snag they'd have quickly solved the problem and wouldn't be desperate enough to call technical support?
