1) Someone please set gravity BACK to it's original setting? I've dropped more things in two hours than I have in my entire life.

2) Jenn's latest Nostalgia Inducing 1980s obscure cartoon title: 3PM, KRRT, Monday through Friday! (DivX 3.11 or better required)

[livejournal.com profile] arbitor has declared it a heavy gravity day over here as well. He only got out of bed to attend to the garbage and dishes, from what I understand. So don't worry; at least it's not just you.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the gravity controls either.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Wow. Now, can you find me the Tigersharks OP? :)

Terribly sorry, the enhanced gravity is necessary to get the Keppler generator started.

Once it's going, though, things should be back to normal in short order.

well... there is that annoying possibility of a period of reduced gravity, so you might want to practice your "stop, drop, and grab" maneuvers.

That was the best show EVER. Why did all the awesome ones get cancelled?

There's something about toy tie-in non-educational semi-well-written cartoons that really pulls at the heartstrings.

Yeah Jayce was cool. I remember reading a while back it was cancelled mainly because they put it on the air with the idea they would sell toys to compete with Transformers, but the merchandise side failed, hence the cartoon failed too. Same story with Jem vs Barbie. Either way i do feel kinda bummed finding out the cartoons i loved when i was a kid were really failed attempts to rip my parents off for cash. Hell i never even had a Transformer, much less a Wheeled Warrior. It was never about the toys, that's what Lego was for...

Roboech kinda led the way for this. Originally, it was a way to just sell a show about transforming robots, but they realized that the toy line could get a HUGE boost if they ran toy commercials in Robotech.

This worked for a while, until the glut of toy commercial cartoons came though, and parents started to complain that they were being fed "BUY THESE NOW" through the box.

IT kind of pissed me off, because while some shows were tripe, others (Transformers, Robotech, Jayce) were actually some good stuff.

The bubble burst not long after, though. Robotech II was going to be solely financed by toys...and then the complaints started and killed that project.
