Geek Mode On.
Okay, at the end of the season, the Enterprise was fired on by WW2 era planes, and we saw Alien Nazis. Yeah. Geeze.
I wasn't expecting much from the season opener, but watched because I wanted to see how the "new" writers pulled their asses out of the fire.
What I got was a decent couple of episodes. It wasn't bad at all, and surprised me in the realistic way it ended the Temporal Cold War. My only real complaint was the whole paradox issue of Killing One Person Resetting EVERYTHING. But we had a good end to the storyline, which I was happy with. Now let's see how the writers fare when they're NOT fixing up someone elses problem.
Space Nazis = Bad - Manny Coto = Good

It's also assumed that any star trek episode that touches time travel is poorly written. That's what I hear. Yet it was clear from Voyager that they really wanted to do a time trek instead. ^^;

You know what's scary? The Powers that Be say you're right. That when the Borg went back in First Contact, they changed EVERYTHING and now this isn't your Dad's Federation.

Careful. Your blaspheming City on the Edge of Forever there. :D
