So, Episode #2 of Voyager has them inside a black-hole singularity looking back at the "surface tension" of an event horizon and seeing the future....WHAT?!
But it's all okay because they find a fracture leading out. It's amazing how many plots in early Voyager can be summed up as "the cat goes up a tree, realizes it's a very very long way down that it can't jump, but then it finds a branch that leads to a nearby roof...silly cat."
