Remember when I said that the new Galactica series was good but wasn't Galactica? Well, four episodes into the series, and I'm proud to say it's possibly going to rival Babylon 5 as best SF series of all time.

It may not be Galactica, but by the time it's through it's going to redefine that word....

Is it on in the US?

Sounds sweet. :) So far only Firefly and old-season Farscape have topped Bab5 for me, so that's a high recommendation.

Not yet, but it's showing on Sky One in the UK, where I've been pulling down XViD versionthe episodes. Reminds me of the days I used to get Doctor Who episodes but without all the TV Standard bitching. :D

It's a WONDERFUL character driven arc-story drama. It's not as epic as B5, but the characters are more tight knit than B5s, and the action isn't just Cylon Attack! Cylon Attack! Cylon Attack! Well, the first episode is, and it's STILL good. :D

I could do that. Or if you have cable internet, I could send them to you that way. They're about 300MB per episode.

The first few episodes of B5 didn't show how strong the story arc was going to be. I think Galactica could, in the end, have an even stronger story arc than b5.

The pilot certainly had tremendous emotional impact. Of course it IS kinna hard to kill a few billion people without having some impact :)

It's worth it. B5 is very epic, and while Galactica isn't epic, the personalities just grab this show by the horns and drive it hard. :)
