Mar. 8th, 2012 05:12 pmI have an idea. Pay everyone I owe an absolutely bare minimum. Except the one I owe the least. Blitz that one repeatedly until it's paid off. Move onto the next smallest. Gonna take a while, but I may be able to to at least kill some of the smaller bills right away.
It works.
Date: 2012-03-09 01:36 am (UTC)Even though we did declare bankruptcy a couple of years back, we paid off ALL of our smaller debts beforehand this way. The bankruptcy was solely to get rid of the last, final, GINORMOUS debt we owe to the IRS. (one that would have taken us probably close to the remainder of our working years to kill off)
The other debt included credit cards, medical bills, student loans, etc., and was far more than the amount you're working on. It can be done!
I totally recommend the snowball method of debt elimination for the type of debt you have. :D
