With this story line almost over (FINALLY! I wasn't expecting this little "three month crossover" to take three years!), I've taken the time to look over a lot of the rest of the Closetspace storyline, and see where it's going. It's rather old and dated, as it was originally plotted in 1992.

I've decided to change the direction the story will be going as we enter the last half of the series. I'm hoping it will combine the best of the old, and the best of the new and improved direction of the series/ This isn't the first time I've drastically rewritten stuff. Allison was once a transvestite who couldn't come to terms with crossdressing. Carrie was once a security guard who couldn't carry a tune in a tin bucket.

We'll begin seeing some of the new direction the series is taking in next week's comic, and hopefully, you all will approve of where it's going.

Admittedly, the Venus Envy crossover seems a bit dated, as Venus Envy seems to have stopped somewhere in 2010. Although I guess I shouldn't talk about things that seem behind the times...Fluffy and Mervin seems to exist in a bit of a time warp (at least to me). I still find myself drawing characters using land line phones and referencing old Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

I started the crossover back when VE was still updating, and in fact, Erin was going to do the "flipside" of the Carrie/Zoe crossover as Zoe convalesced in the hopital from the knife wound. When it became clear that wasn't going to happen, I changed the storyline a bit to be kid of a colophon to the Venus Envy universe. In doing that, though, I REALLY made the story longer than I expected, and when I got sick, pushed the crossover from a three month thing to a three YEAR thing.

We're ending the storyline soon, though. There will be a few more issues, and, I'm hoping, a final meeting between Carrie and Zoe we're working out.

And CS takes place in 2001, or so, so people still have push button wall mounted phones, and cameras that use film! :)
