Anyone out there who haad HRT have hip pain? I occasionally get this feeling in one of my hips of "strain" when I walk or stand. I don't know if it's my weight or if it's the hormones, since that does mess with your hips a little bit. Anyone out there have any ideas? I'm two weeks away from my doctor's appointment so it'll prolly go away by the time I see him.

Yup -- and I've heard of others having that, too. I don't know exactly why, however.

Cheers,

oddly, I would expect it to be a center of balance issue. (not being on HRT, myself) There's this silly party game where you put a chair against the wall and stand a certain way while trying to lift it. Supposedly*, males can't do it and females can. It's a center of balance issue, like girls supposedly not being able to go up free-hanging rope ladders without setting them spinning.

I'd expect that to mess with a lot of things having to do with the hips.

* Yes, I lifted the chair. This, apparently, freaks people out.

I got all kinds of aches and pains all over me. Nothing too bad - it's just kinda there and then gone before you know it.

Prolly has to do with fat redistricution and what not. Or hips trying to grow when they're long since "frozen up."

I've seen the spinning rope ladder first hand. It's kinda funky. :)

Sadly, I had enough lower body fat (sigh) to do the chair thing myself....

Because of me, my ex's parents have two cats named Munch and McCoy and my best friend's son's first complete sentence will probably begin with "In the criminal justice system..."

And my other best friend said, about two years ago: "I predict: 2006- The Law & Order Channel."
