The days are just packed.
Dec. 21st, 2004 07:50 amOh, man, my day started WAY too early.
I woke up about two, layed in bed till 3 and took a quick shower.
From there, I ran off to the post office to mail a package to Canada (I wanted to do it while the folks were manning the stations) and boy did I pick the wrong day. They were serving #6, and I was #27. Thankfully an "Express Lane " opened up and they took my package in about twenty minutes. When I left, they were serving #10 and the place had even MORE people in it.
Then came the blood test, which I hope is kay, I forgot I needed to fast for 12 hours (which I did) but I did have a pinch of salt before bed (try to ease up on the leg cramps). All I need is for an elevated sodium level on an empty stomach. Usually, those guys can't get any blood out of me, ever. I've had them poke me with needles multiple times and send me home without getting any blood. Whoever was there today not only got blood, he got a gusher. he also jabbed me with a needle harder than I ever have before.
From there, I made a quick stop back home to get cards ready for mailing. then it was a quick run to Dave and Busters to meet Lucy for dinner...and wait...and wait....and wait. After 14 hours of no food, I was starved, and figured she'd get there eventually. One 14 ounce ribeye steak later (D&B makes the best ribeye in the business) I decided she wans't gonna show and went home.
I finished off the remainder of the cards, ran off to the PO Box, checked my mail and got a nice card from Gwen, mailed the cards off, and then realized I forgot the package going to NY. Ran back home, grabbed the package and ran back to the post office to mail it out. Then I went home finished off a slice of chocolate cake and....
....veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeged....
It was much deserved since frm 3PM to 11PM I was just On the Run....
