Shit II - Electric Boogaloo
Nov. 9th, 2001 09:51 pmI was pretty down all day, mainly by the los of my hard drive and complete inability to get A Wish for Wings done, now. I have been down all day about it, and my parents again picked up on it. They treated me to a Chinese dinner. And while there my mood lifted. I felt great and even began to doubt the Writing Curse. I began to think I could find a way to get the series finished on the limited system I had. When we left the restaurant, I had it in mind that I WOULD find a way to finish the series.
That was a mistake.
When I got to the truck, a STREAM of antifreeze was running down the pavement. I drove home as quickly as I could and thankfully the engine never overheated. That's when we nticed the oil guage. There was NO OIL in the truck either.
We are extremely poor right now. The only reason we have AOL at all is that Dad can't figure out how to get them to stop billing us. We have barely enough money to EAT much less to fix two trucks (Yes, we just went out to eat, but that was because my dad has maanged to bring one exrta load home). So, now we ahve to fix TWO trucks, and a computer.
And m ytruck broke down just as I was thinking about bringing back AWFW.
No more.
I will show the seven strips I have, and write up the rest as a summary of the story.
And after that I will never write again.

Writing Curse
Date: 2001-11-10 07:39 am (UTC)You are enjoying the writing. It makes you happy, so keep doing it!
I'm willing to bet I can see your thought process on this. "Writing makes me happy. The world can't have me be happy, so crap has to happen to help balance it out." I know you well enough to know you haven't done enough 'bad' to deserve that kind of karma.
And sometimes, you know, we have to fall back on the most ancient and overpowering magical law, originally inscribed in prehistoric shrines of the Sumerians:
"Shit happens"
And sometimes, that's all it is.
Can I come get you for a visit next Saturday? Pick you up Saturday evening, return you on Tuesday?
HUGS!!!
Almost forgot
Date: 2001-11-10 07:43 am (UTC)And imagine all the writing this hypothetical young woman could do with a few days away from her family... Hmmm....

Give me SOME credit. I'm not that shallow.
I don't know WHY I'm being told not to write, but the pattern is all there for me to see. Write and shit will happen. Even Deener mentioned my writing was one of the reasons he left me.
I don't need anymore shit in my life. I can't go on digging a deeper hole for myself by doing it simply because I like it. I have to stop for whatever reason I'm being told to stop.
Anyways, I wouldn't say no to next weekend at all. I need to get out of here.
