There is a new comic project coming up, but I can't really talk about it quite yet. It's gonna be fun, though.

If all goes well, you'll know who's drawing and writing it.

If it doesn't, you'll know who's drawing it.

And it's gonna be fun if we can pull it off.

Okay, Robotech Purists. Those of who who swear by the Japanese versions of the Robotech stories as if they were gospel. I want you to grab a copy of Southern Cross and watch it. Then tell me which version was better.

Cause the Robotech version kicked much ass,

Southern cross just meandered so slowly and aimlessly that the Robotech version just kicked it's ass. In the Japanese version Zoe/Seifriet wasn't the creator of the Protoculture/ProtoZor, so that storyline was lost. The idea of a xenophobic human race thanks to a near wipe out of humanity wans't there...it was just REally Angry Humans. The ending, where the Flowers of Life/Flowers of Light spread across the Earth, seeding it with the foodstuff f an upcoming enemy wasn't there...they just made for a nice ending.

It was really reallyboring.

Even some of the Robotech WTF concepts are even MORE WTF. Such as when Zor turns musica into the police, then decides not to. In Robotech, it's never explained. In Southern Cross, it's not only never explained, but he has these shots of "Oooh, I'm a devious bastard!" sprinkled throughout the episode...for no reason...and then does a 180 in the next episode.

Mospeada was better than it's Robotech Counterpart. Can't say the same for Southern Cross.

UPDATE - I did a good chunk of the first go round on The Project. Let's see how the other half comes out. :D
