dolariLooking more and more like I'm being shown the door on Austin. I talked with the building manager - now that I've put my 60 days notice in, if they lease the apartment before the time is up, I can't get the apartment back. And they've already had people asking about it. I may be able to re-up if a studio shows up, but the building manager said "November at the earliest." Also, I didn't pay the last month's rent, so come September 30th, I'm on the hook for $930. Not sure how that will happen.
Plan B, which looked pretty solid, is now sketchy. With the bridge burned between me and Aerotek, I'm not even sure a return to Seattle and Nintendo will be possible. It's looking more and more like I'll be moving back in with the parents in San Antonio - which means an Austin based job, even living in a suburb or bedroom community, will be incredibly hard to get.
Still...trying to keep a positive attitude on this. If Austin and Seattle are blocked off, there's a great big black unknown in front of me. There could be a bottomless pit hidden in there. Or something wonderful. I don't know. We'll find out.
