Sep. 15th, 2014 11:20 pmSomewhat embarrassing Jenn Fact. After 9/11 I was pretty convinced that a missile hit the Pentagon (due to lack of video evidence, lack of debris and my general borderline paranoia of the Bush administration). I had no way to explain the missing Flight 77, though, which always bothered me, because I like nicely wrapped up loose ends, and no conspiracy is perfect enough to hide stuff like that.
It wasn't until many years later that a trusted friend told me that a trusted friend of hers was an eyewitness and saw the plane fly over and hit the building that I pulled over to the "Maybe it WAS a plane" thinking...but I was still skeptical because of lack of debris on the ground.
It wasn't until...ahem...the Mythbusters VAPORIZED A CAR by rocket sledding it into a fortified steel wall that I was finally convinced it was a plane. Cause there wasn't much left of the car after that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSVfYwdGSsQ
I'm not conspiracy minded by default (and I pretty much took Flight 11 and 173 as given), but my (later completely founded) fear of the Bush Administration made me question everything about Flight 77. And look like a fool for a few years. :)
