Dec. 17th, 2014 09:17 pmRan into a problem making my Ultimate DOS machine. The CD-ROM is very very very old, and finally gave up the ghost. The two replacements I have for them? Serial ATA, which this machine is totally not built for. Keyboard apparently went out sometime during the trip, too. Spacebar isn't working.
So...I need a IDE CD-ROM, keyboard and mouse. The computer itself seems okay and booted up fine. So I'll keep the CPU, put an IDE CD-ROM and keyboard/mouse on the back burner. I was hoping everything would just work, because I can't afford the hardware right now - but I'm patient, and there will be time eventually.
