(no subject)

Indiana has signed its wrongly titled "Religious Freedom Restoration Act"into law.  Fine.  Now...OWN IT.

Put up signs in your businesses so we know not to go in there. The kinds they had in the South for so long to let "the coloreds"  know they wouldn't get served.  Or "no Irish."  Or "no Jews."  In much the same way, we'll know we're not wanted there.

And we'll know who the problem is.

I don't care that you hate us. You can hate us all day long.  But no amount of legislation will make us go away, and the future is on our side.

Apparently, the backlash may actually had had an effect:

The proposed amendment clarifies that RFRA does not “authorize a provider to refuse to offer or provide services, facilities, use of public accommodations, goods, employment, or housing to any member or members of the general public on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, age, national origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or United States military service.”

I'll leave it to the more legally minded folk to pore over the wording of the full proposal, but early indications seem positive.
