About 11PM, I began feeling like I had an upset stomach. I thought that was odd, because I'd last eaten about 8PM. As time went on, I began to feel a pressure in my stomach building and by 1AM, I was in intense pain and was having trouble breathing. I drove myself to the ER (which was stupid, as I nearly passed out on the way).
Once there, they pumped me full of tramadol to take the pain down, took blood and did a CAT scan. By 3AM the pain was the worst I'd ever felt, even more than the staph infection from a few years ago. The CAT scan showed nothing, the blood tests were fine (except for 140 blood sugar) and other than high blood pressure probably from the pain everything looked good.
They said it was likely a severe stomach virus, gave me a prescription for Tramadol (the GOOD stuff) and anti-nausea med.
Then I slept for twenty hours.
I'm still not 100%. Stomach is still on fire (but not nearly as badly), having trouble keeping anything down, and the pain is at a dull roar. I'm woozy and shakey, probably since I've not eaten anything (or really, kept anything down) for over 24 hours. Gonna try for some ramen here in a sec.
And I'd just paid off all my medical bills, too....
