Apr. 27th, 2016 01:18 pmI'm glad I didn't make plans for Canada, because the other shoe just dropped. My insurance is refusing to cover my insulin because it's not a generic medication.
There is no generic medication.
Thankfully I have enough to get by for now, and my doctor is on the case (not the first time they've seen this). But I'm canceling my plans until this gets done. Cause apparently I can't control my blood sugars anymore without it, and $500 for a pen of insulin is expensive.
And this is why we need universal healthcare.
