dolariOf COURSE this happened. But I'm willing to say North Korea played the US into this, versus Trump was being a jerk. Don't get me wrong, he's a jerk - but North Korea is all about internal perception.
Nothing makes North Korea happier than humiliating the United States. And North Korea having a very successful summit and meeting with South Korea, all on their own with no American intervention...then creating a situation where they do the same with the Americans, and work it to make the Americans look like they ended the summit.
North Korea looks like the good guy, and manages to move forward with the south without the Americans getting involved.
The Romulans would be very very proud.
