So. I had a pretty bad cough that my doctor diagnosed as a viral infection during my doctor's appointment early Monday morning. She prescribed "Some rest, and maybe a lozenge." This wasn't a big issue, and I've gone to work with the same symptoms (it happens a lot to me). But only a fool argues with their doctor, so I took her up on it - I stayed home until I got better.

Here's the thing: Going to work, I usually have these symptoms for a week. Staying home and resting up? Two days.

Just sayin', she said looking at no one's attendance policies in particular.
