dolariCrystal and I have been watching some cult animation the last few evenings, and Nelvana productions kept coming up. Tonight, I got to show of one of my fave cult animation movies of all time, Rock and Rule.
I saw the trailer to this as a kid, and eagerly awaited its release...which never happened. At least for anyone not in Canada or Boston. It had always been in the back of my mind to find for years, but was so rare, even my contacts in the anime community couldn't find it.
It was released on DVD a few years ago, and I finally saw it. It was everything I expected it to be, and fell in love. And today I got to share it with friends who genuinely enjoyed it.
If you're a fan of animation, 80s rock music, or funny animal stuff (or any combination thereof), go watch it (if you can find it). It's awesome.
