Apr. 28th, 2021 05:21 amWas watching a streamer go through Duolingo to learn English and noticed I had picked up a lot of their Japanese. Decided to finally give it a try.
According to my first Duolingo lesson, my Japanese is...yikes. I basically have hiragana and katakana down, with a few Kanji memorized from when I was trying to learn Chinese. But not any real conversational skills that aren't memorized phrases.
My Spanish, though, was good enough to skip pretty deep past the first 25 lessons. My Spanish isn't half bad, even if I can't speak in the past. Yo intiendo espan~ol, pero quando necesito hablar, I tend to plotz.
I've got the time. Let's see if we can fix this.
Didn't even try the Chinese, which I only know a smattering of, and really only reading the ideograms.
