dolariAnd then sometimes there's something that just brings a smile to your face.
I got my copy of the Webcomic Hurricane Relief Telethon, and there I am - PAge 19, in full page, 600 dpi, newsprint dotted glory. You don't know how incredibly happy this makes me.
It's one thing to publish your own webcomic. You're one of about 4000 out there. And It's one thing to send up a webcomic for a specific effort, knowing full well you're going to be sitting alongside at least 500+ other webcomics.
But to be published in an actual book, professionally, full page, no less. And for a good cause. That just warms my heart. And then I realize I'm sitting alongside other folks I really admire like Barb Fisher and Chris Impink, Dave Willis and Dan Shive (across from me on Page 18!) just completely floors me.
It's that same feeling in 2004, sitting in between Erin Lindsey and Kittyhawk, with Jamie Robertson across the way, of "How did I get here?" and getting a pat on the back from those who already were there. :)
It's made for a very happy Jenn (even if they did list me in the Table of Contents as Jenn Dolan) ^_^
