dolariSomething that's come up twice now in the last few days, prolly cause I made a mention of my age a few times, is that people were surprised I'm 47.
I try very hard not to think about my age. I just try to my best to keep myself open to new ideas and experiences, to keep a flexible open mind, and even to try to remember that despite my experience, there's always the possibility I could be wrong or out-of-date.
I've always told myself, "Grow Responsible, But Never Ever Grow Up." I don't want to lose the childlike wonder of the world around me, even when humanity lets me down. The minute I tell myself "I'm almost 50, I should act my age" that goes out the window.
So, yes, I'm 47. But not on purpose, I promise. And while I don't think about my age, my age does tend to think about me from time to time, she said looking over at the ibuprofen bottle.
