GOTCHER LIPS! ::thwack thwack thwack::

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a rabid ferret either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

....all the cool kids are doing it. ;)

I remember reading your road-trip posts and thinking "Wow. She'ld be a fun person to have along on a road trip".

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. :) Road trips aren't something I do much of anymore too expensive and not enough money.

[identity profile] boi-in-boots.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
reading your awesome comics. You rock, Jenn!!!!!!!

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
:) Thanks for reading.

But what if I want you to come after me with a rabid ferret?

Anyway, it's probably the 'zebo days I'd put of the memory. Getting you know ya way back when.

Cheers,
Gwen Smith

I really looked forward to the Gazebo chats until my sister decided to be a bitch and specifically keep me off of them. :P

[identity profile] directorsg.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
I remember you STALKING ME when I linked to your comic in a friends-only LJ post. :-P

[identity profile] chrysalis.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
I remember the "landscape" I saw the last time I visited you. :)

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
:) You need to draw that for me, so I know what you saw. :D

[identity profile] chrysalis.livejournal.com 2005-11-05 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I wish I knew how. Often, the visuals I get are more symbolic than "actual". All I can say is it was like being in computer generated icy mountains.

I remember seeing you for the first time, walking down the hall at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. You hadn't spotted me yet, so I hid behind a corner to pop out and surprise you.

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And I remember seeing you that first morning with your back to the window, haloed in the light. And you were lovely. ::kisses::

I remember referencing a presently misplaced photo (the first time we'd actually met in person; I had my digital camera with me that ate batteries like popcorn) taken near Austin a couple of years ago in the context of nearly accidentally sending it to a number of additional people; you were quite happy that I caught it and stopped that from happening.

I then looked at the photo again and noted that I wasn't sure whose appearance in the photo was more embarassing (neither of us were in presentable condition, although I did have a recent haircut and a tie).

The more I think about it, it was probably mine (Sleep deprivation does very nasty things to me).

The second meeting was a MUCH nicer one, minus a near death experience on I-35. :)

[identity profile] wyndhover.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
I remember seeing you for the first time, at the DoR. Everything was sad there, but meeting you was a really bright spot in it all!

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, absolutely. I really enjoyed the last Two House Party Erin and Pace threw, and watching y'all play scrabble. :)

Late nights on ICQ talking about dreams and gender and weird psychic events...

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, those were the days, weren't they? I remember us talking on the phone, with me trying to figure out transatlantic echo. :)

[identity profile] jandanadur.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
I remember sitting on a message-board somewhere discussing shadows and our web-comics. Only... Yours is good and mine just never got anywhere because I can't draw. (well, can't motivate myself to a. get better or b. just draw anyway...)

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee. The board I didn't belong at. :) It was a fun few weeks, and I learned and met a lot of good folks, many who I still talk to. I miss your comic, though. You should consider turning it into a short story.

[identity profile] jandanadur.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
From a certain perspective, you did belong.

As for the comic's story... It got altered slightly, re-examined and now I am preparing to make it into a short (or perhaps not-so-short) story later. I have my full-length epic novel (which will be full of passion but sell about as well as "101 uses for pointy rocks") to worry about first...

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone's gotta start somewhere. I'm looking forward to the story. :)

I remember when we decided to play MKII over ZSNES. After three or four matches I proclaimed I was undefeated. You, on the other hand, replied in confusion that YOU were undefeated.

... then we compared notes and realized that due to lag and desynching, we had ended up playing three completely unrelated matches, and that in fact the characters *I* had on the screen weren't the ones YOU had. :-)

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a cable modem now - we should try again. :D

[identity profile] iqtech.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hanging out with you at your cube when you were working night shift. It made me wish I could be working e-mail support on the night shift - cool people and more freedom. ;)

[identity profile] jenndolari.livejournal.com 2005-11-04 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, man, I miss those times. I really really miss them.

You being my sensei in the creation of SFninja :)

Glad I could help. :)

Here's one from out of left field... My first memory of you was replying to some of your comments in misc.transport.road. I used to keep up with that group fairly regularly, then dropped off. I've recently caught up again, with all of the big projects happening around here.

I only took the keys cause the car was too heavy to take. :D
