AWFW - well, it's the end. I still have a lot to deal with coming up, prolly in the next month or so before we finally end the storyline. I'm aiming for February of 2006, with the book coming out at the same time.

I don't think I spent enough time on Manwaz's explanation, and will go into it when I deal with the aftermath in a week or two. Manwaz is an extention of something that happened when I was younger. When I was about five, I did something really stupid. In my five year old mine, it was the only course of action, but was really stupid. My parents, however, never ever let me live it down, and I was punished for that stupidity anytime I made a decision. Manwaz made a stupid mistake, and tried to make up for it - and was repunished. Now MAnwaz is a dick, so he wanted revenge. I just wanted to stop being repunished at 32 for something stupid I did twenty eight years ago.

CS - Something I also never really touched on. In all my early descriptions of Carrie, she's described as being "raised by wild drag queens in the desolate woods of South Texas." The idea being that she had a closeknit friendhsip with Victoria and her cadre of Drag Queens. Her fashion sense was also meant to be a little "off" for just that reason - she was originally supposed to have a fashion sense I called "Drag Queen Lite" or "Japanese Manga Fashion." She really hasn't had a chance to really wear a wardrobe, and this outfit she's wearing now is about as crazy as she's gotten. I wasn't able to draw it like I wanted. It should be a silk top with flowers everywhere, and a chinese patterned circle on the back with phoenix birds. A little outlandish if you looked close.

I'm trying to rebuild that "family" Carrie had with Victoria and "her Queens" and we'll see how that comes along as the story goes on.

An happier news - I really think I caught emotion in these. AWFW Panel 1 and 3 reqally capture Han'a's determined grief, #2 shows Manwaz's detatchment, and #4, he actually looks horrified, CS #2 shows Victoria being mischevious, and #3 has curiosity and slight embarassment. I'm really proud of these episodes. :)

Now if I could pull that comic fairy out of my pen every week...
