Sitting on a copy of MS-DOS 3.2....

If you see that Seagreen thing as a taskbar, the rest of Win 1.0 feels really incredibly familiar. Gotta hand it to Microsoft to keep that interaction almost exactly the same through all the versions....

Damn you, Windows! OVERLAP!

Wow, I didn't know Windows 1.0 sucked so much. I've only seen Windows 3.0 and higher.

Gee, I vaguely remember working with old-style Windows that looked like that.

They didn't print that well, either -- the only way I could get a window's content to print legibly was if I maximised it first.

Hard to believe that stuff's 20 years old. I thought it would have become Abandonware ages back. ;)

What's scary to me is the "continuity." I didn't have a mouse that worked with Windows 1, so I tried the keyboard shortcuts from Windows 3.11 (which still work in XP) and amazingly enough, they worked in Windows 1 almost exactly the same.

And with colors like that, I'm surprisd they got out of the 80s gracefully. :D

I actually had a legit copy once upon a time. It was second hand, but it ran on my PCjr. :)
