(Allison is in all black with goth makeup, Carrie is wearing a simple crushed blue velvet leotard)
Most of you prolly think this is cute (hopefully).
A few of you are prolly chuckling pretty loudly.
And one of you is turning a lovely shade of red. ;)
This is prolly gonna sound pretty silly, but in my dreams, I'm a wrestler. No really...I have this contnuing string of dreams where I'm a midcard female wrestler. And dammit, I've had this imagery in my head all day, I needed to get it out on paper. Carrie's wearing the oufit I wear. I've actually won an Intercontinental Championship...in my head.
I prolly need either a good psychiatrist, or a really good agent.
In the very first dream, which happened just after I moved back to Austin, I was someone who worked setting up the ring, and it was before the show. The people who determine the matches (the bookers) were upset because someone didn't show up. He was going to do a run-in (where another wrestler runs into the ring and interferes with a match), but wasn't at the arena...so they decided to hope he showed up in time for the run-in. I was running cable for a camera around the time the runin was supposed to happen, and when it didn't, one of the bookers grabbed me and said "Hit the blonde with a chair and then come straight back," and shoved me into the arena. I felt kinda shocked, but went in, slammed the guy I was supposed to with a chair, and ran straight back. Then the booker patted me on the back and said "Thanks. We'll try and figure out who you are later."
In the next dream, I was knee deep in the storyline. I was supposedly someone's angry wife, and my "husband" had taught me to wrestle. I had been quickly trained in basic wrestling moves and was doing just a few shows to end my storyline, and get me back behind the scenes. But then the crowd started cheering me on, which is something the behind the scene folks never expected. So they kept me around after my storykline endedm usually filling in for someone who was sick. My costume was what Carrie is wearing - just a blue crushed velvet leotard and boots.
In one dream, I showed up in full costume, waiting int he crowd, and I was never called on (in fact, the bookers fell asleep during the show). But as the dreams went on, I became more popular. Eventually the whole "Scorned Wife" thing was forgotten (it's common - anyone remember Fake Diesel? Isaac Yankem?) and became one of the roster of women's wrestlers. But I was a wrestler, not one of these new "Divas" that are more for show than actual wrestling.
Eventually, I came out to Vince McMahon as formerly not-female, after he questioned a drug test. Fully expecting to be fired, I was really surprised when he said it would make a GREAT storyline that satisfied everyone. The stoyrline he came up with:
The women would eventually find out I wasn't female, and kick me out of the dressing room. Not wanting to dress in the men's locker room, I simply would dress somewhere conspicuous. A closet, or a utility room, or in one case under the bleachers. The company was going to "Crack down" on me hard, by saying that I was going to start wrestling men, which would make the audience go "Huh?!" Eventually I would out myself as formerly male, just begging for some fair treatment. Another male wrestler would then begin doing the whole "All women love me" kind of gimmick, shed some unwanted attention on a female wrestler and I'd come to her aid. This would turn the girls around to my side, allow me back into the locker room, I'd have a fued with this guy, which would allow me to wrestle men (versus doing the dog and pony show that passes for the women's division in WWE) and everyone is happy (despite me being outted).
The next dream I had obviously the storyline was going on because I had the Intercontinental Belt. I got the idea I was feuding with Triple H...The funny thing is, in these dreams, I don't actually wrestle. It's all the stuff AROUND the matches that I seem involved in. I've had a few more dreams since, I've lost the belt, but seem to still be used. And I'm still helping put up the ring, too. :)
I've recently gained a tag partner named Cassie, but that's another story.... :)
