One of my biggest fears in life is having my father die, and showing up at his funeral. Wether I go male or female, something bad will happen, either internally, or externally.
This day WILL happen, one day. I just hope it works out better than it will in the comic.

Date: 2006-04-22 02:09 am (UTC)If you ever want to talk about how to minimize the OGODOGODOWOW! factor, I'm available. You can't base personal goals on the behavior or feelings of others. You cannot MAKE someone stop drinking, stop being an asshole, or grow a brain. But you CAN frame your goals so that you get through these things as safely and as sane as you can. I'm sure you're already pretty good at talking to people about your situation and dealing with your family, but when nice people use phrases like "worst fear," my ears prick up and I feel an urge to, well, help you not be deathly freakin' afraid!!!
Anyhow, very glad your hand's feeling better. We corresponded a bit a little while ago about the way Seattle seems to be collecting artists of transgender-themed comics, and it's really good to know you're in a happier situation again. :)
