When it came time to actually perpare writing this story, all the plot was relayed to me by the Hanna-Angel character. Eventually I met the Tribal-Hanna character who began sharing more story, and showing me more events until eventually, I wasn't so much being told about what was going on as I was watching it unfold with asides from Han'a. This is normally how my writing works. But what happened here was that the whoile tribe noticed me. Unlike my other characters, they see me as a "Traveler of the Cities" and not just "The Writer" or "The Drawer." After I continually came back to see their story they began to welcome me like I was a long lost friend, and would sit me down and tell me not just the story I needed for AWFW, but stories of their history, and the people they came from.

Things I've learned about the Tribe of Ehrem, Parte the Seconde - Random trivia:

The Tribe of Ehrem is one of fifteen tribes of the Arios, centered around "Arios City." It's more of a collection of huts and a marketplace, but, then again, this is 12,000BC. Arios means "Us." The society is very very segregated, with the "mothers" and "Fathers" kinda doing their own thing. They usually come together as a family at the end of the day. Despite the segregation, men and women are considered equals.

The males hunt and protect and train other hunters and hunting animals. The women raise the young, gather herbs, grains and whatnot, woodwork and also assist in religious rituals. Women have a "child-debt" which is shown by braids in their hair. They're required to have two children in their lives, and the debt is paid off. They can have more than two, but are obligated to two. When they menstruate, they aren't expelled from the tribe, so much as they're sequestered away in the home for a few days and the mate takes on the non-homebound parts of her duties. The Arios usually choose one mate for life, and they can be same-sex, as long as the child-debt is taken care of.

The tribes were originally designated by the direction they were situated in, Ehrem being "East." But over the years, the tribes migrated slowly away and "around" the city looking for more fertile lands. Eventually Ehrem ended up after a flood cut off the only real supply line from the very far away Arios City The families that made up Ehrem broke apart to find a new path. The Alfagauch Family followed an old tradition saying that Arios City was due west of the tribe and proceeded that way getting lost in the process.

In their travels West, they've come across a few scattered tribes of humans, very few violent. They've become so far detatched from their homeland though, that none of the tribes know of Arios City. The tribe has been lost for about 80-90 years, wandering through the summer, camping for Autumn and winter. They live in the open air, but will use (and prefer) caves.

Manwaz found Arios City heading due east, and crossing over a mountain chain where he nearly died. On his way back he had packed provisions to survive the trip back.
