Estimates versus actuals:

PAYCHECK Est: $1185 - Act $984.46 (Until I see a paystub showing me all my 96 hours, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that Week #1 is on a paper check somewhere, cause that's AWFULLY low).

RENT Est: $458 - Act: $406.16
PHONE Est: $325 - Act: N/A (With the lower paycheck I put it off a paycheck)
HORMONES Est: $156 - Act: $100
CLOTHES Est: $110 - Act: $137.65 (Ended up replacing more than I expected)
ELECTRONICS Est: $NA - Act: $81.31 (Without the Sidekick for temporary internet, I needed a router)
GAS Est: NA - Act: $50 (I can't move in immediately due to work schedule, so I bought a weeks worth of gas)
GROCERIES EST: $110 - Act $209.34 (Actually, only $23.30 is already spent, the rest is leftover cash and I don't expect a huge grocery bill yet)

If this IS my total paycheck of 96 hours, I may need to tighten my belt a little more. If there's more, I may get my phone sooner than later.

I got the apartment today. They sure know how to make you feel welcome on your first inspection. I got to work an hour earlier than I expected (oops) so I went ahead and got my apartment at 10AM instead of 4PM, like I had planned. It was about 89 at 10AM...when I walked into the apartment, the AC was set for 60.

Welcome home. :)

It's smaller than I expected (the floor plan I had was "Stretched out" vertically compared to the actual apartmetn), but not cramped at all. It's smaller than my first Austin apaprtment, and a bit bigger than the one I had in San Antonio. It's funkily layed out, but I like funky.

And no hardwood floors. :D
