About the only thing I miss about living in Winnipeg is the wonderful storms. I love watching prarie thunderstorms and the ones we get out here just can't compare.

If you're ever interested in the evolution of a classic Central New York lake effect snowstorm - the kind that dumps a foot of snow an hour, for 3-4 hours at a time - just let me know :) Some interesting cloud formations could be the massive and foreboding billows of evap that form beneath the friendly cirrus clouds that would otherwise grace my sky. I could even catch the tendrils of evap rising from Lake Ontario that start the whole process - an amazing sight.
