dolariI wrote that tribe outline last night, and after seeing what Nen'a had instore at her end, going back to try and fine Emm'a and Han'as pyre sites, I got a vision of a scene.
Nen'a is only a few miles from the tribe at this point, maybe not even a day away. She climbs a low pass in the mountains, and comes across this:
Done with Google Maps, a dose of oil painting filters. According to Google Maps, the view from Nen'a to the farthest mountain is 120 miles. For a sense of scale, that lake is 3 miles away and 1 mile long.
More and more events are filling themselves out in this story, but no real story thread through it all. I should go and rent Roots and it's Sequel to see how they handled the multi generational storytelling. The closest thing I have to a thread is Nen'a in this, who lives through most of the wandering.
